2-1-21 THOUGHTS

Some wonderful prophecies from Isaiah show that HOLINESS IN GOD’S PEOPLE is expected.  Surely God makes his people HOLY.  
Isa 35:4   Say to those with anxious heart, "Take courage, fear not. Behold, your God will come [with] vengeance; The recompense of God will come, But He will save you."
Isa 35:8-10   A highway will be there, a roadway, And it will be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean will not travel on it, But it will be for him who walks that way, And fools will not wander on it. 9  No lion will be there, Nor will any vicious beast go up on it; These will not be found there. But the redeemed will walk there,  10  And the ransomed of the LORD will return And come with joyful shouting to Zion, With everlasting joy upon their heads. They will find gladness and joy, And sorrow and sighing will flee away.
Isa 40:3-4   A voice is calling, "Clear the way for the LORD in the wilderness; Make smooth in the desert a highway for our God.  4  "Let every valley be lifted up, And every mountain and hill be made low; And let the rough ground become a plain, And the rugged terrain a broad valley;
Isa 49:11  "I will make all My mountains a road, And My highways will be raised up.
Isa 62:10   Go through, go through the gates, Clear the way for the people; Build up, build up the highway, Remove the stones, lift up a standard over the peoples.
Isa 60:21  "Then all your people [will be] righteous; They will possess the land forever, The branch of My planting, The work of My hands, That I may be glorified.

The Spirit of God explains the above prophecies through John the Baptist.
Luke 3:3-6   And he came into all the district around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins; 4  as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, "THE VOICE OF ONE CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS, ‘MAKE READY THE WAY OF THE LORD, MAKE HIS PATHS STRAIGHT. 5  ‘EVERY RAVINE WILL BE FILLED, AND EVERY MOUNTAIN AND HILL WILL BE BROUGHT LOW; THE CROOKED WILL BECOME STRAIGHT, AND THE ROUGH ROADS SMOOTH;  6  AND ALL FLESH WILL SEE THE SALVATION OF GOD.’"
Rev 21:4  and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be [any] death; there will no longer be [any] mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away."
Rev 21:27  and nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

My Prayer:
We praise you Oh God for the gift of Jesus.  We see your salvation and worship you as the giver of our eternal meaning.  Make us holy dear God.  Make us clean in Jesus for we are weak and powerless.  We long for the day when you will wipe all tears from our eyes.  Please Oh Father, may our names be written in the Lamb’s book of life.
